Orthodontic

Crooked teeth are more than just a cosmetic problem. Poor alignment can cause trouble biting or chewing, allow food to get stuck, make brushing or flossing difficult, and lead to jaw pain. Orthodontic treatments address misalignment (crooked teeth) or malocclusion (bad bite; when the upper and lower teeth don’t meet neatly). Most commonly, orthodontics involves the use of braces to realign the teeth.

Eltek Dental offers a full array of orthodontic treatments for both teenagers and adults. These include traditional metal braces, elastics, headgear, and removable appliances (retainers), as well as invisible braces (a series of clear trays that gradually move teeth). It may also include extractions if there is not enough room in the jaw for all permanent teeth. The type and length of treatment depends on the individual patient’s needs. Eltek’s professional team will conduct a full examination (with X-rays) to determine the best course of treatment for you.

My husband got terrible headaches for months and the doctor could not figure out why. It got to the point where he just figured he’d have to live with the pain. Then Dr. Sogomonian suggested it could be from grinding his teeth at night. She fit my husband with a nightguard and the headaches went away in a matter of days -- we could not believe the difference. ¡Thank you Dr. S!"
