DENTURES

Conventionally, dentures are used to replace teeth lost or extracted due to disease or age. They most often consist of plastic resin or porcelain teeth embedded in a plastic resin base designed to look like gums and oral tissues. They are specially constructed to fit over the patient’s existing jawbones. Dentures can be partial or full, removable or permanent.

Eltek Dental has an in-house denturist who specializes in the creation and fitting of removable dentures. We can see you through the process from start to finish and provide you with all the information you need to properly maintain your dentures and oral health.

Patient Education:

RPD/Cl III

An RPD or removable partial denture, is partial because the patient retains a certain number of functional teeth around which the denture fits. It is removable because it can be taken out and put back in without professional help.

Removable partial dentures

Removable partial dentures are used where there are a number of teeth missing from the dental arch.

I have a crushing fear of the dentist. I'm always so relieved after leaving my appointments. The hygienists and dentist are very sympathetic here and don't push things. They keep me involved in what's going on and let me know what to expect to help me keep my calm. I'm grateful to have found such a supportive atmosphere. I had to get a filling done and they gave me the choice of having sedative dentistry (where they put you to sleep) or a local anesthetic. They walked me through what I could expect from each and I chose sedative. It was the easiest appointment of my life!
