Dentistry with heart

Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMJ, is an inflammation in the joint where the jaw bones and the skull meet. It can cause difficulty biting or chewing, pain and swelling at the joint, headaches, migraines, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), and even hearing loss. Eltek Dental’s qualified dental professionals have experience with TMJ disorder and can offer a variety of treatments to alleviate symptoms and help correct the problem.

Eltek Dental’s services include the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder, including low-level laser therapy to help relieve the pain. Eating and talking are essential daily functions, so they shouldn’t hurt. If you’re experiencing pain, discomfort, or difficulty that you think may be related to TMJ, let Eltek’s team make you comfortable again.

Nightguard: NTI

The habit of grinding one’s teeth is called Bruxism. Excessive nocturnal Jaw clenching and teeth grinding can potentially damage the teeth and their supporting structures. An NTI nightguard acts as a cushion between the front teeth and as a result keeps the rest of the teeth from touching thereby protecting them from further damage.

The habit of grinding one’s teeth is called Bruxism. It is a parafunctional habit that occurs most often while asleep.

For anyone involved in contact sports a protective mouthguard is highly recommended.

I have a crushing fear of the dentist. I'm always so relieved after leaving my appointments. The hygienists and dentist are very sympathetic here and don't push things. They keep me involved in what's going on and let me know what to expect to help me keep my calm. I'm grateful to have found such a supportive atmosphere. I had to get a filling done and they gave me the choice of having sedative dentistry (where they put you to sleep) or a local anesthetic. They walked me through what I could expect from each and I chose sedative. It was the easiest appointment of my life!
